PIKnic at the Park - Feeding Food Insecure Kids

Tax deductible
PIKnic at the Park - Help us provide a free lunch and a day at the park for FOOD INSECURE CHILDREN!

Protect Idaho Kids Foundation (PIK) will be launching “PIKnic at the Park” to feed food-insecure children and their families for free each Sunday during the Summer while complying with Covid-19 health practices.

The program will run for 8 weeks each Sunday from July 11 to August 29th.   Adults who bring kids will also be provided a free lunch.

Each person will be given a pre-packaged lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, chips and a fruit drink.  Lunches can be taken home or eaten at the park as long as current Covid-19 guidelines are observed.

Tents will be set up at Ann Morrison near the Fountain to provide the food.

To make sure this is manageable, we will start with 300 lunches served to those people who have tickets and increase that by 50 lunches each week for the 8-week period.

A boy’s and a girl’s bicycle will be given away at a prize drawing the last Piknic of the year, August 29th.  Everyone kids and adults will be given a ticket to enter the drawing.

These Kids and Families deserve a break from the Coronavirus.  Please help give them a free meal and a day at the park.
