Pigs In the Wood National Rehoming Fund

Donation protected
Pigs In the Wood Sanctuary have started a national rehoming service for pigs in need. Most sanctuaries, including us, are full to capacity and still each week requests come in to take in a pig or even several. Some of these requests are from private homes who for whatever reason can no longer look after their pigs, some are from people who are trying to rescue a pig from an awful situation, usually from slaughter, and some can be from sanctuaries themselves. We are trying to take the pressure off sanctuaries by funnelling requests to those we know can help and also by seeking out private individuals and non-sanctuary organisations, who can commit to a safe forever home for a pig. As part of this service, with the exception of sanctuaries, we ask for a minimum donation for finding a pig a home and finding a home for a pig. These donations are paid into this fund and the money used to help with transport costs, housing, castration, health, whatever is needed to help get a pig into a safe place. Alongside rehoming donations we are also fundraising through awareness raising and other activities.

We hope very much that you will help us in supporting the rehoming process so that each pig can find a safe home.
