Piehl Family Medical Bills

Donation protected

After celebrating the wedding of his son at his home, Greg Piehl was doing what any son would do and was taking his mother back to her home. But, unlike most sons, he was taking her back by means of his small aircraft. As they were nearing the airstrip, the engine unexpectedly shut off and Greg had to improvise and land it in an alternate location. Having had many years of flying experience under his belt, he was able to land it out of harms way from anyone. But unfortunately, the plane was too high to escape injury from those present inside the plane. Both Greg and his mother Donna suffered multiple broken vertebrates. They were rushed to the hospital where they were placed in critical condition. Their surgeries were scheduled for today, March 10th, a day after the accident.

With the wedding costing quite a bit and the hospital bills starting to pile up already, this financial situation is one that cannot be ignored. Greg is now out of work and his wife Debbie will not be able to work and cover all of the bills, especially with no health insurance to help them out.

This is where I come in. I am apart of this family by having the privilege of dating Gregs daughter Lauren. I've been able to see this family and how much they care for each other.

After hearing the news last night, I was at a loss for words. How could I manage to help in any way with what has happened? I then remembered hearing about how the internet has come to the rescue for so many families in need of help. So I am asking for your help in any way possible. However small or large your contribution is, it will be greatly appreciated and go straight towards the medical bills of Greg and Donna.

What ended as a weekend full of celebration for the marriage of his son, quickly turned into a phone call that no spouse or child ever wants to receive.

Below is an article to go into more detail about the accident:
