Pictures Can Save a Thousand Lives
I’m calling out to anyone who has a spare camera or a spare dollar. I’ve spent my life managing deeply conflicting emotions through photography. It has been a source of relief and grounding, and it has saved my life.
Now is a challenging time for many of us, with the pandemic, adjustments to a new way of living, our isolation. Many people, old and young, are suffering mentally. I’ve reached out to those who are struggling and offered to help them learn photography as therapy in our local community. Many people are not doing well financially and can’t afford a camera. I have 16 teens interested in the class, and I’m sure more to come, but almost all come from underprivileged backgrounds. They do struggle, terribly, everyday to even eat, much less purchase cameras.
Anyone who has an old camera, and would be willing to donate it to one of them, please do so. If you don’t, but would still like to help, you can always donate money and I can try to work deals with vendors for them.
Thank you for stopping by, and please share with friends and family, anything you can do to help is a blessing, and we thank you.
