￼Some of you may not really know about PICC  lines. A PICC line is a long tube inserted into someone’s arm that helps them receive drugs such as chemotherapy or have daily blood tests taken. It is implanted semi permanently and has an access tube around the elbow- where medical professionals can help the patient. It is a very useful bit of kit if you are in long term treatments. Many cancer patients, diabetics and anyone receiving infusions can have one. However they are not the most comfortable, attractive or easy things to live with either. Imagine having tubes hanging out of your arm 24/7- every day. How do you shower? Will it catch when you are asleep? How do you exercise with it flapping about? Can you feel good about yourself with that reminder there all the time??So PICC PALS aims are simple:To provide simple and comfortable PICC line covers free of charge to those going through medium and long term treatments.To let those people know that we support them in their medical battles.In a time when going into hospital is scarier and more isolating than ever- they can feel our love with them. We are a NOT FOR PROFIT  team. Volunteers give time freely to manufacture the covers. ALL funds raised on this page will buy fabrics, packaging and help us distribute these to PICC nurses, Macmillan centres, chemotherapy units, childrens wards- in order to get them to anyone that needs them. Please support us if you can.
