Physical and Mental Wellbeing Projects

Pompe Support Network does not have significant funds to support medical research, but we do have some great ideas to improve the quality of life of people living with Pompe disease that we would like to examine through experimental research.

For example, we are currently investigating Functional Electrical Stimulation suits for adults with Pompe and are greatly impressed by the benefits they bring. We're looking at how Virtual Reality headsets and applications can improve both physical and mental health. We also intend to investigate novel and fun methods of Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT).

A small donation would certainly help us continue this hugely beneficial work.
