<div>Até julho de 2021 tinha uma vida normal. Nesse mês foi-me diagnosticada uma doença neurológica grave chamada mielite transversa hemorrágica.

<div>Aos 55 anos, passei a ser uma mulher <strong>paraplégica</strong> e com incontinência de esfíncteres.

<div>Desde julho 2021 fui seguida por inúmeras equipas médicas em vários hospitais, entre os quais o H. Santo António, onde estive internada 1 mês e meio, assim como noutras instituições como o Centro de Reabilitação do Norte.

<div>Infelizmente, mesmo com esta reabilitação, continuo a necessitar de <strong>cuidadores</strong> para quase tudo: refeições, mudança de fraldas, algália, vestir, banho… Deixei de poder fazer quase tudo sozinha como sempre fiz, que só o consegui fazer porque o meu único filho de 26 anos cuidou de mim abdicando da sua carreira profissional. E para isto preciso de continuar a <strong>fisioterapia intensiva</strong> para obter <strong>alguma autonomia</strong>, mas <strong>não tenho mais dinheiro</strong> para tal.

<div>Fora todas as necessidades físicas, logísticas e emocionais que esta doença trouxe, surgiram necessidades financeiras - como o apoio domiciliário noturno, que a Segurança Social não tem como garantir e que a minha pensão por invalidez não consegue, nem de perto, cobrir.

<div>Além disso, o <strong>SNS não tem resposta</strong> para as minhas necessidades.
