Photographer's life.

On July 7th, 2017 I wrapped up a 2 day shoot (which was in 98 degree weather with 50% humidty!). I was packing my gear, and, while extremely tired and distracted, I failed to properly pack my camera (which I have had for the past 6 years!). The camera fell off my truck, and by the time I realized it, it was picked up by someone never to be seen again. I lost my camera and my favorite lens, not to mention the days worth of work that was on the card. While I am incredibly embarrased about my error, I humbly reach out to my friends, family, and even complete strangers to help me keep my dream alive. 9 months ago I left my job of 11 years to pursue a career as a full time photographer. Without my own camera, that dream will be a little harder.

The funds I hope to raise through this page will go to replace my camera with a slightly better version. I hope to use this till the end, so a better camera will serve me so much more. I also need to replace the battery, memory card, and lens that was lost along with it. The shoot was in another city, so I will also lost the time, gas, and mileage of that trip, since I need to go back to do it all over again.

I can't even begin to describe how much a donation would mean to me. I feel terrible asking, since this was my mistake in the first place, but I've been told over and over not to beat myself up, and that mistakes happen.

I would be eternally grateful to anyone who can help out. I would love to give everyone a personal thank you if I can.
Don't really know what else to say, but thanks for taking the time to look at this.
