Be The Change First Issue 

As we head into the final months of an already challenging 2020, many looming questions hang over the world around the US elections, the global pandemic, police brutality, and more. And, with bated breath, we anxiously anticipate what 2021 will bring. The next issue of Be the Change You Want to See (BTCYWTS) will be documenting the upcoming elections directly from Washington DC, the continued civil protest for the disproportionate killing of black and brown people, as well as the threat to American democracy. BTCYWTS will also be conducting interviews with members of Capitol Hill and documenting a physically distant NYC Time Square on New Year’s Eve.

 

None of us knows exactly what will transpire as time continues to pass. However, I feel that it is vital for us to capture current events so we have a record of what transpired as we head into an uncertain future. My role as an advocate and artist is to document the front line wherever it may take my lens and share the changes in the world with you.
