Phoebe's Leg surgery

Most of you know of Opal, my recent 3 yr old puppy owner surrender, and as in most cases she came with a sad story. Fortunately for Opal we were able to find Lori Masi, her human delivered by whichever God you believe in. Destiny, fate, there is no other explanation for the reactions from both at their introduction, they literally needed to save each other and it was a heartwarming experience I shall never forget. Phoebe “Opal” Masi was surrendered with a tale of a slip on the kitchen linoleum and a prescription that should have been about gone. Her previous owner downplayed this as a minor recent injury when I picked her up but it is so much more than that. No one does better research than a pissed off mom, trust me. And we got the facts.  It started 8 MONTHS ago! 8 MONTHS of pain. Not sure of the vet terms but in plain English she had a half torn ligament in her right leg. NOW, thru nothing short of neglect, it has progressed to full blown torn ligament that is in immediate need of a very costly surgery to repair so she is not lame, forever! Most likely she will need surgery on both legs for overcompensating for her damaged one! Lori and her family are madly in love with this sweetheart of a dog that has unnecessarily suffered for 8 long months. They are a wonderful family and like most of us do not have $5000 laying around to cover the estimated costs to fix this sweet baby’s leg. Are we going to do it anyway, hell yes we are, and immediately! Family, Friends, puppy families, fellow truck drivers, construction workers, complete strangers I’m asking on behalf of one of my furry kids for ANY amount of a donation you are able to give.
