Farewell to Fiona Kobusingye Akiiki

Donation protected
Dear Fellow Ugandans & Friends:

Fiona Kobusingye Akiiki, one of our community members, who is Diana Komuhendo's sister, passed away the evening of 2/20/2019. She had been hospitalized and in hospice care at NewYork hospital Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center for more than a month until her death.

Fiona came to the US in 2015 to assist Diana in caring for her autistic son: Joel, and to provide for her adopted children in Uganda. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer a year after arriving in the US.

Famously  called “the woman of faith”, Fiona was God-fearing and humorous until death. She had a strong will to live that sustained her through very challenging circumstances and a difficult illness.

She is survived by her daughter, Daphine Kamwine, 2 grand children, 5 adopted children, 5 sisters, 11 brothers, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives & friends.

We are appealing for your support to offset the expenses that will incurred during this difficult time.

May God Rest her soul in eternal peace.
