Phineas Lee Johnson

Donation protected
I am starting this page to help raise money for my nephew Phineas Lee Johnson who was born a week ago today on October 14, 2017.  Phineas has been diagnosed with a birth defect called Pulmonary Artery Atresia and he will need to have heart surgery next week.  His prognosis is good, but Phineas, his siblings (Aubrey, Thad, Mila, and Gideon) and his parents, Tony & Sabrina, have a long road ahead of them with his recovery and future expenses.  It's already been a rough year for them financially, having to foot the bill for an unexpected home repair that cost $13K.  Sabrina and Tony are both employed and work very hard to provide for their family, but they will both be taking a hit to their income to care for Phineas.  Please share this page and donate any amount you can, no matter how small!

This is copy/pasted from Sabrina's Facebook page:

"My little (not so little) Phineas is one week old today! He has had a pretty rough week, but he is a little fighter. Last Sunday we were getting ready to take our big guy home when he failed some routine tests which sent us to the NICU at Bryan. His oxygen saturation was too low. We were told at that time that he was just a big boy and was having trouble breathing because he was too big and he just needed some time to be able to control his body to get the oxygen he needed. After a day in the NICU things started slowly declining and our baby needed to be out on oxygen to help him breathe. We spent another day waiting for him to get stronger with no real answers on what was happening. He had a sleep study done on Wednesday night which he failed miserably (their words not mine). He also failed a car seat test that night. I was hopeful that morning that we would be getting to go home on Thursday. We were almost sent home with oxygen and a monitor for our big guy, but the doctor had a bad feeling and wanted a few more tests done. Phineas had a CT scan that showed his heart didn't develop the way it should have and he didn't have an artery going to his right lung. Within a couple of hours we were sent to Children's in Omaha. After two days of testing they said my baby will need heart surgery next week to fix his heart. He has a right pulmonary artery atresia. He is currently doing great all things considered and they can't believe how much he can eat. We are waiting for a surgery date and time and won't know anything more until Monday (so I'm told) So we wait. Prayers for my Phiney that everything goes well!"
