The Philly Unleashed team is growing – by four paws!
We pride ourselves on using training to improve the lives of people and pets. We love what we do, but in true Philly Unleashed fashion, we’re itching for a new challenge! So we’re em”bark”ing on a new adventure – raising and training a service dog, who we will eventually give to a local resident in need.
Our little bundle of joy – a Labrador Retriever bred from a long line of service dogs – is due in May, and will come to live with us full-time in early August. From the very beginning, he or she will train with our team of certified dog trainers to become the very best helper and companion for their eventual owner.
So how can you help? Raising a puppy takes a village, and we’d love for you to be part of ours! Our research has shown that a fully trained service dog can cost up to $30,000, from purchase to training to placement. We are prepared to take on the bulk of that investment, but we would love your assistance in providing the very best for this little one.
Your donations will go directly toward the puppy’s food, veterinary care and help us pay the trainers who will be giving their blood, sweat and time into training this dog. Any funds we raise over what we use will be paid forward to the recipient of the dog in order to start them on the right path towards a harmonious new life together!
