Phillip Lilly's Funeral Expenses

My sister and I never expected to go through the toughest tragedy of our lives at 27 and 29 years old. Our father, Phillip Lilly, went missing on December 29, 2017. Police, family, and friends all searched for him for a month, until we got a phone call from the detectives on January 30, 2018. A VDOT crew and police found our father’s vehicle at the bottom of one of the largest embankments, known as Lover’s Leap, in Patrick County. When the car was finally able to be pulled up the cliff, it was vacant. Three days later, on February 2, 2018, the family received devastating news from the Sheriff’s office. Our father’s body was found about 500 feet from where his car was located. Receiving this unexpected, devastating news about our father was the worst moment of our lives. Our father wasn’t married and all he had was us- “his girls.” Both of us are currently struggling financially, either living paycheck to paycheck or unemployed, so we decided to make a Gofundme account for any donations to help us with the funeral expenses.
