Send Katelyn to the Philippines

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope that God is doing as many wonderful things in your life as He is in mine. I am having a wonderful year at River Ridge High School, and feeling God's will to do more for the world around me.

I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity that God has presented to me. From July 2 through July 17 God has offered me the chance to go to the Philippines with a team from Calvary Chapel Worship Center. This 16 day missions trip will be working to bring the Gospel to the prisons, the dumpsites, the streets, the hospitals, and to the orphanages. As some of you know, last summer I was blessed to be able to go to Ecuador and it was a life changing experience. I feel as if God has called me to missions and also to children. I have a huge heart toward children and hope to be able to one day adopt.

While God has opened up a door for me to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways. First, you can help pray for me and my fellow group members. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of the Philippines. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. At this time I will need to raise $2,600 to attend this trip, and that is quite a challenge!

Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support. Would you consider supporting me with a donation? I will need to raise all my funds by June 1 in order to pay for airline tickets and other items. Please make checks payable to HTTW (donations are tax deductible).
