Philippines victims of 3 consecutive typhoons

In the last few weeks there have been 3 typhoons that hit almost the same area in the Philippines. These typhoons have caused a lot of damage to homes and property, and it is the least fortunate people who have suffered the most damage.

In addition to damage from high winds which caused roofs to be ripped off, trees to fall on houses and property, there was also some severe flooding. In the beach areas they had storm surges which destroyed boats that the local fishermen and local dive boat captains own, and that is killing their livelihoods to earn money for their families.

I am starting this fundraiser because I am blessed with friends in the Philippines who are personally helping with these causes. My friends Penn and Avic from the Batangas Divers Association have founded the BaDAss Community kitchen that works tirelessly to feed thousands of families. They are also delivering goods to help boatmen rebuild their boats as well as goods for people to rebuild their homes. You can see more about their work at the following link:

In addition to this group, I also have another group of friends who are rescuing animals in the flooded areas. They bring these animals to a shelter they created from donations, where the animals can be cared for properly until a home can be found.

I am currently stuck in the Netherlands because of the closed borders. It is my preference to have been on the front lines with my friends to help out personally. Since this is not possible at this time, I am helping out financially and I would also like to ask my Facebook friends to support this cause if this topic speaks to you and if you have the means to support this work.

A note on transparency. Facebook will deposit donations in my European bank account. i will then transfer the corresponding amount to the organizations using my Philippines Peso account. Then I will have the organization confirm receipt here on this fundraiser page. And of course we will post plenty of photos showing your generous donations at work.

* Materials for boatmen to repair their boat and begin to earn a living again.
* Materials for families to repair their damaged homes.
*Provide nutritious meals for families in need.
