Philippines: Speech Therapy for Cleft Palate

I'm going to the Philippines in several weeks as part of a speech therapy mission trip. I'll be providing volunteer speech language services to kids who have recently had cleft lip and palate surgery and need to learn how to speak again!

I volunteer with the non-profit organization International Children's Surgical Foundation.  Dr. Williams, the founder, is a highly specialized plastic surgeon who has devoted his life to performing cleft palate reconstructive surgeries in high-need areas. Whereas clefts are repaired at birth in the U.S., access to medical care is severely limited in this part of the world, and most patients can't get surgery until they are well into childhood, or even adulthood! 

After Dr. Williams performs surgery, volunteer speech therapists go to the villages to work with the patients and help them re-learn how to speak and communicate.  This is my third time to volunteer with ICSF in the Philippines, and I would be grateful if you can help me help support these incredible people!
