Philip's Cancer Journey

Dear Friends,
As many of you know, Philip got the news that he had cancer again back in August. The last 3 weeks have been a crazy journey with lots of ups and downs. We’ve been to countless Dr. appointments, scans and procedures, biopsy to confirm Philip's cancer has return and how we will be treating it. Philip starts chemotherapy monday august 20th. Due to the effects of chemotherapy Philip will not be allowed to be working during his treatment. He has short term disability insurance which covers our benefits and mortgage (Huge blessing). It will not cover our portion of medical expenses and any utilities or living expenses, or supplements. Also due to the effects chemotherapy Philip will also be doing cryopreservation which is not covered well under our insurance.
We’ve been asked by several folks for an opportunity to help us out with all the extra costs we’ve incurred during this journey. If you are able to help us cover medical bills, and living expense during this time, we’d definitely appreciate it.

“The Rest of the Story”: For those that do not already know our story Philip was diagnosed with testicular cancer back in late spring of 2016. The doctors were able to do surgery and successfully remove it. Since then he has been having regular CT scans to watch for recurring cancer. In August of 2016 the week before their wedding a spot showed up in Philip's lungs. The doctors decided to just continue watch it in hopes that it would not amount to anything. August of 2017 the week be for our first child Kensley was born, Philip was told the spot had grown and that is was cancer and he would have to start treatment right away. Philip and Brystol requested a biopsy and cancer was not found during that biopsy. The doctors are still doing on going testing to confirm the results of the biopsy and determine what Philip does have.
