Philip Johnson Medical Fund

My father, Philip was in a horrible automobile accident Saturday, October 14th 2017. Dad was ejected from the passenger window of the vehicle he was driving. He was life lighted from the accident to the hospital. He is in critical condition in Trama ICU in OU Med Center in Oklahoma City. He has at least six broken ribs, a broken collarbone and shoulder. He has massive head trama. He has what is called a DAI (diffuse axonal injury). It has been 6 days and he still has not woke up. They expect a recovery but said my Daddy will never be the same. He has moved his right hand and both feet a little. They had a tube draining fluid from his right lung they were able to remove and they had a monitor on his brain they were able to remove yesterday. Little progress but still progress. My dad did not make enough money to afford medical insurance and his job did not offer that option. When he does wake up and get out of the hospital he will have to go to a rehabilitation center. We have no idea what he will know, or be able to do when he wakes up as his brain injury is very extensive. We also have no idea how long he will be in ICU or how long recovery will be. Me and my brother and sister in law live 5 hours from OKC in western Kansas we hate asking for help but right now we need help and we need prayers. My dad is the type of person that even when he has nothing he finds a way to help others who need help. He would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.
