The purpose of this campaign is to help raise capital for Philaye Films, Inc, to help fund its ascension in Hollywood as a black-owned TV/Film and media space for passionate black professionals.
Our CEO, Philip Johnson, is now working full-time with Philaye Films. As a result, there are several areas of business underway:
-Flip Flop TV Show
-An animated show (name still TBD)
-Another comedy show
-A drama show
-A short film
-Freelance videography/video-editing
-Philaye Films blog, showcasing black creatives and entrepreneurs
-Philaye Consulting, providing consulting services ranging from Financial to Creative to Brand/Marketing
-Philaye Speaks! Podcast
-YouTube Channel (pursuing monetization)

Flip Flop TV Show:
This comedic drama with a dystopian technology twist shines a light on an underrepresented group: LGBTQ professional athletes navigating the homophobic sports world. The show was created by Philip Johnson, and inspired by his experience growing up as a closeted gay track athlete.

We have already developed a fanbase stretching across the country, as evidenced by our successful Flip Flop Tour in 2019-- concluding in Hollywood with a packed-out Met Theatre. The success of our show's current pitching has Philaye Films opening the door to black creatives and entrepreneurs through multiple new shows and ventures as listed above. But we need your support in order to be able to create these opportunities and support our black staff. We want everyone on our teams to be able to make a living wage from their passions, through our black powerhouse in Hollywood and beyond.
