Send Phil and Nancy back to Paris

In the early 70s, Phil was attending Austin College in Sherman, Texas and Nancy was attending Central College in Pella, IA. In 1975, they both ventured to Paris, France for a study abroad program where they met for the first time through mutual friends. Paris was the beginning for Phil and Nancy, where their two hearts became one and life took on a new direction. In 1977 they got married and began what has been a fantastic 38 year journey (so far) to today. So Paris, the city of love, has always held a special place in the hearts of Nancy and Phil as that is where it all began, but they have not been able to go back to Paris and relive that wonderful beginning.
Going back to Paris has been a long time dream for Phil and Nancy. However, everytime it seems within reach, something comes up that puts it on the back burner. Most recently was Phil's diagnosis of Alzheimer's and now all their efforts are being directed towards the care and acceptance of this reality.
This July will be their 38th wedding anniversary, Their children, Ryan (with wife Mikaela) and Jillian (with husband Jasen) are extremely grateful for everything they have done and sacrificed for them. They have always put their children's needs (and wants) before their own. They have also been involved with their church that they have been members of for 28 years. Between ushering at church services and helping plan various functions put on by the church, they have developed a wonderful family and support system to lean on during these hard times.
Now here is where you come in. Ryan and Jillian want nothing more than to see their parents experience the romance of Paris together again and relive some of the memories from their beginning while Phil is still able to remember those memories and the feelings of love that they convey for each other. With everyone's help, we can make this dream a reality and send them on a well deserved and overdue vacation back to the city where it all began. Providing them with a chance to escape the pressures and challenges of everyday life and get lost in each other once again.
