Phil Wendell Memorial Music Project

Were you a member of the Bay City Public Schools band program from 1965-1994? Chances are that you had Philip Wendell as your band director. Phil touched so many lives in and out of the classroom.

I decided to commission a new piece of middle school band music to honor Phil's memory. This piece is being written by James Curnow, one of Phil's favorite composers, and will be premiered in May 2019. 

I'm raising money to help fund this endeavor and any donation will help make an impact.  Any contributions beyond the cost of the commission will be donated back to the Western Middle School Band program.
