Phil Godwin for his Osteosarcoma treatment
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Zara Phyllise. I am currently residing in UK as an overseas worker to help support my family from the Philippines. My family and I would not normally ask for help and would really strive to do extra work to get by on our own. However, due to the increasing demand of my brother’s treatment and medication, we are here humbly asking for your help.
Last November 2022, my younger brother Phil Godwin, 23 years old had sustained a pathological fracture on his arm. Investigations were done and unfortunately concluded that he has Stage 2 high grade Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) on his right shoulder.
He had undergone 2 MRI scans, specific blood tests, biopsy, PET scan and had finished his 1st chemotherapy cycle. Medical treatment is not free back home as compared to NHS. Unfortunately, his body is not responding well on his second chemotherapy cycle. We were told that the tumour is now expanding to his clavicle. Sadly, an option that was recommended to us by the medical team is complete amputation of his right arm. The tumour cannot be extracted individually as the nerves and tissues are wrapped around it. Phil will be needing a major operation…
Phil is young and has so much to live for. The idea of losing an arm and the pain that comes with this is unbearable. Sadly, this is the only option to save his life.
We are humbly appealing to your generous heart for any amount that you can spare to help in raising funds for his treatments. We know it has not been easy for each and everyone as people struggle with their own needs as well. Any help will be deeply appreciated and if we could again humbly ask for your prayers for him and our family in this difficult time.
Thank you.
