Phillip Weisburd Fire Relief Effort
Our good friend Phil Weisburd recently picked up and left everything to take a sales job in Honolulu, HI, where he rented an apartment in the Waikiki district.
2 days ago, in a 5 alarm fire at the Marco Polo condominiums in Waikiki, Phil lost all of his personal items except for the clothes on his back and his work briefcase.
This request for assistance is to help Phil get back on his feet and is meant to help cover the personal possessions that he lost, as well as help to cover moving expenses and the time he lost in this tragedy.
Phil sacrificed everything to move to Hawaii to fulfill a need for his company. Before you snicker at his fortune of "living in paradise", however, consider this: Hawaii is the most isolated and one of the most expensive markets in the US, as well as one of the hardest markets to do business. This is part of the reason that Hawaii also suffers from a high rate of homelessness. As Phil's colleagues and friends we need to come together to make sure that Phil is able to get back on his feet.
