Phil and Dana Phillips Fire Relief

Donation protected
My Mom and stepdad lost their home in the Thomas fire.

Phil and Dana have lived together on Tree Ranch Road in Upper Ojai for 25 years. After seeing that their home was still safe at 5 am on December 5th, the hurricane force winds changed direction, bringing a shower of burning embers from the nearby hills. At 7am their home caught fire before their eyes. With no power or water to fight the engulfing flames, they abandoned all hope.

Escaping, they drove through smoke, over downed trees, with flames along the road to safety down to the town of Ojai.

All of their household goods including furniture, appliances, clothes, and most personal items were destroyed.

Phil, an entomologist, lost all his insect collections, publications and other reference materials he used to train Master Gardeners and other students interested in pest management. He also volunteered with USAID, internationally.

Dana lost her artwork including jewelry-making tools and supplies, photos and art supplies. She also lost travel photos and volumes of reference materials.

Phil and Dana hope to rebuild.

They will use the money to for a new well, water storage and pressure system for themselves and their three young llamas.

Please donate and share this information to help them.

Thanks from the Phillips and Federico families.
