Hi everyone,
As many you know, Senate as an organization has fallen and risen a number of times over the course of our 90 year history. And while we were able to achieve a huge victory in rebirthing the organization at MSU nearly a decade ago, active membership has dwindled in recent years.
In order to ensure that Senate does not falter at a moment when being a Greek org on Montclair's campus is challenging even in the best of cases, recent alumni have begun to create an Alumni Advisory Committee. This committee has already met with the current brothers and have reviewed processes and procedures in an effort to provide more structure and stability to Senate for years to come.
And while we are currently setting Senate's trajectory upwards there are still hurdles that the two current active brothers face, largely stemming from the monetary costs associated with staying in good standing at MSU. We're asking for help in covering the following expenses the last two current brothers face:

In order to ensure that Senate does not falter at a moment when being a Greek org on Montclair's campus is challenging even in the best of cases, recent alumni have begun to create an Alumni Advisory Committee. 2. Recent Alumni Blazers: A tradition that was started the last time the organization was revitalized, active membership would pay for a Senate blazer for a graduating brother. We'd like to continue this tradition and make good on some jackets that could not be afforded by actives in recent years.
3. New Member Promotional items: The active members recently needed a few items to make senate more public on campus and attract new members. These items were provided to the active members at cost but is still a burden.
Your donations will be handled by the alumni association to ensure it is used to keep Senate alive and well moving forward. In return for your donation we will be able to send you a piece of Senate apparel as a way to say thank you for your support. You can see this apparel and the corresponding donation associated with it below. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional information on the work we are doing with our active brothers.
