Phelps Family Foster Children Fund

Hello friends and family near and far. I am trying to help a friend and her family with getting a pool fence and other mandatory items installed in their home so they can become officially licensed foster and other mandatory items installed in their home so they can become officially licensed foster parents for two children they currently have in their guardianship. They cannot become licensed or receive any funding from the state until these modifications are done to their house.

As some may know, John and Paulette Phelps have raise three of their own children, with the last graduating high school just last year. Like most parents, they believed they were done and could start thinking about their own futures. However, last year they were unexpectedly asked to take in their 1 year old nephew who needs extra attention. This alone would be a lot to put on anyone’s plate, but then a year later, with the first child only two, they were again unexpectedly handed a newborn boy to take into their care. Paulette had to stop working in order to care for these two children and at this point, they are not receiving any funding from the state.
John and Paulette have never asked friends for money, but they need help to get their home up to specs and could really use your support. These are good people who have made huge sacrifices in their own lives in order to change the paths of two children that are not their own.
Babies under two also come with many additional expenses. Diapers, doctors and formula are not cheap and I know the Phelps family would be greatly appreciate any donation you could offer.
