Propagation conditions are in the toilet for 20 meters and above. The main bands for DX are 80-30 meters.
The most practical and economical way to help solve this is by building a phased vertical antenna directional array.
We propose using two SteppIR verticals spaced 180 degrees on 40 meters. This will produce an 8 dBi radiation pattern to either Europe Or switchable to beam to the south Pacific. A broadside pattern produces a nice pattern to the Pacific northwest and the Caribbean
