Phaedra & Phriends Sanctuary flooded!!

On May 16, 2020 it began to rain and it continued pouring rain throughout May 17,2020.  By the morning of May 18,2020, we had two inches of water in our brand new basement including the main cat room for our sanctuary. We scrambled to do anything and everything we could do to get things off the floor including the cats!
We had just finished the basement in the fall of 2019 and now look at the daunting task of having to replace the flooring and baseboards.  We also have to replace any cat furniture, beds or toys that have been completely ruined by the water.  The kittens we were fostering were relocated to another foster home temporarily so they would not breathing in the damp air. At this juncture we are uncertain if we will have to have drains put in the floors or stone drainage around the house.
Buying this house for our sanctuary was a dream come true but Mother Nature has turned it into a nightmare which is why we need help!
