<div>Mother, wife, aunt, sister and friend Leanne Densmore was diagnosed with multiple myeloma ( a rare type of blood cancer) and acute kidney failure on March 13th 2023. Her life changed as she knew it. That day when her bloodwork came back the frenzy began. Within 12 hours of being admitted to ICU she was transferred by Orange Ambulance to Peterborough hospital with Kidney Failure, a central line inserted and put right onto Dialysis. For 16 weeks she received chemo treatment that lead up to a stem cell transplant in August 2023, she spent a month in Kingston hospital away from her family. She is now home, slowly and painfully recovering with multiple complications from the transplant causing her to be in and out of the hospital and still on dialysis for her kidneys.
