Help My Son with His Medical Bills

Hey everyone,

My name is Zuleica “Maria” Alves, most people in Kearny know me from working at Romeo's Pizzaria and West Hudson Hospital for many years.  I’ve been a member of the Kearny community for 45 years, and I am reaching out for a favor. If anyone has any information for me, my 59-year-old son has recently fallen ill with colon cancer, kidney failure, heart failure, diabtes. and we are trying to reach out to those who can offer any assistance. As you can see in the photo these illnesses have taken a toll on his body. 


We have already been to the board of health and various state institutions, but have had no luck. We also reached out to his employment for disability, and at this time nothing has come through.  We have been unsuccessful in all of these endeavors, but we are hoping that reaching out to friends, family, and the community may be helpful to our situation. 

I am an 80-year old woman who has continued to work for the past 60 years. Currently I am on a fixed income, and living at a senior residence in town. Due to the rising costs of medical bills and living expenses, all of my resources are being depleted. Now I am left with no choice but to continue to work to support him in his dire time of need, but find myself struggling each and every day.
I wanted to start this campaign in order to continue helping my son, who is facing these serious illnesses on his own.  I am desperately seeking aid for my son’s health and well being, as any mother would do. If there is anything that anyone can do everything and anything will be fully apopreciated beyond measure.
