PGA HOPE 100 Hole Marathon: Sept 25th, 2019

Tax deductible
PGA REACH WNY was created with a goal of providing support to various organizations within the boundaries of the Western New York PGA Section. Through the game of golf, the Foundation will work to fund programs supporting its mission, including the Western New York Section PGA Junior Golf initiatives and various other underprivileged youth golf programs. The Foundation will conduct and/or support a variety of initiatives that serve the founding pillars: youth, military, and diversity in golf.

One of our main fundraisers for the Foundation is the 100-Hole Marathon, an event where teams of veterans and WNYPGA Professionals come together and play 100 holes of golf in one day. We have had multiple teams and clubs participate in the event,  with the most recent 100-Hole Marathon being at the Kahkwa Club lead by WNYPGA Professional Michael O'Connor and his team. By raising funds through the 98-Day 100-hole Marathon, the PGA REACH WNY Foundation has a vision to establish:

1. An indoor/outdoor learning center that would allow for year-long programming for veterans, juniors and diverse individuals alike that may otherwise not have access to golf.
2. A workforce program for our veterans to be able to earn money while learning the trade of the golf industry.

The next 100-Hole Marathon will be held at the Glen Oak Golf Club, where the PGA REACH WNY Foundation will partner with the Team F.A.S.T Foundation who will receive 50% of all donations.  The Team F.A.S.T. Foundation assists veterans struggling with re-entry into civilian life struggling with PTSD; learning to live life after war. Their mission is to redefine the standards by which veterans make the transition. Team F.A.S.T. strives to provide the best programs and services for our veterans and their families as they navigate their next missions back home. Lead by Ex-Marine and current President of the Foundation, Nick Martone and his team look to change the lives of fellow veterans everyday.

So this year, the PGA REACH WNY Foundation and the Team F.A.S.T. Foundation have partnered together to impact the lives of veterans all across the WNY area. Any donation you can make to the foundations is greatly appreciated, so please do not hesitate to donate if you are interested.
