On Sept. 7, an 8.2 magnitude earthquake shook Mexico. Juchitán a city near the coast in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, was devastated. The donations will go to the following indigenous collectives doing work on the ground:
- Totopo Radio, a community radio station and organizing space (see video )
- A Relief Center sanctioned by the National Indigenous Congress (Congreso Ncional Indígena), run by longtime highly respected acitivists Bettina Cruz Velazquez and Rodrigo Peñaloza
-The Totoperas, for rebuilding the dozens of destroyed brick ovens that the totopera women use to make totopos, a staple food of Juchitán. The women who make and sell totopos are amongst the poorest groups i. (see https://www.facebook.com/mirexal/videos/10213919773049958/)
