Meet Chris Argiro. He is a dear friend and co-worker. He is also a loving son, a great husband and an amazing father to 3 boys.
A few weeks ago Chris noticed the right side of his neck had started to swell. At first we all thought it was just a bug he had caught due to the flu and other virus's going around at work, but the size of his neck just kept increasing. He decided to go to the doctor to get it checked out. The Doctor called a few days later and said his blood work didn't look right and set up a biopsy of his throat. Last week the results of the biopsy came back saying he had Cancer. His diagnosis is Squamous cell carcinoma on his tonsil, or throat cancer.
Chris is in the begining stages of his journey, we aren't sure what all that entails as of yet. He is scheduled to see an Oncologist this coming week to make a plan for removal and treatment of his cancer. Updates will be provided as we receive them.
I am setting up this account for Chris and his family to try and help them. Chris unfortunately does not have medical insurance, so everything will be completely out of pocket for him and his family, which is hard on anyone.
The funds received through this gofundme account will help Chris with medical expenses which will include: Doctor bills, Surgery bills, radiation treatments, hospital stays and traveling expenses to and from appointments. Funds will also be used to help with household bills and food as he and his wife (also a co-worker) will be out of work several days for Dr's appointments, surgery and treatments.
