My Road to Rio

Donation protected
Hello,

My name is Patrick Feeney and I recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2014. While at Notre Dame, I gained a Bachelor's of Science degree and aspire to be a doctor someday. I also became a 5x First Team All-American with the Track and Field team, have a 400m personal best of 45.56, and hold several records at Notre Dame.

Before I begin my journey through medical school, I am pursuing my dream to run at the 2015 World Championships and the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. With that, I am currently volunteering at a hospital in South Bend, IN, shadowing several physicians, and also taking more classes to better my chances of getting accepted into medical school.

Unless you are the best of the best, a career in track and field can be very difficult. With your help and donations I will be able to continue my professional track and field career for another two years until the 2016 Olympic Trials. For those of you who may not know, in my event, the 400 meter dash, the Olympic team brings 6 individuals to the Olympics to become a part of either the 4x400m relay and/or the open 400m dash. At the 2014 US Outdoor Track and Field Championships I placed 12th and am not too far from that 6th spot.

All donations will allow me to travel to various meets across the world and allow me to compete against the best of the best. Better competition helps me run to the best of my ability and will allow me to lower my 400m time dramatically. Even the smallest donation will be greatly appreciated and make my dream that much easier. Thank you!
