The Great Shave

Over 3000  people a year are diagnosed with Head and Neck Cancers in Australia leading to over 1000 deaths from the disease annually. As Radiation Therapists we treat a lot of patients with Head and Neck cancers as it is the main treatment option in a lot of cases and we can see how traumatic a diagnosis is and how debilitating the treatments can be. However, there are very few awareness campaigns and fundraising efforts focused around this particular cancer type. We would like to raise funds to make the journey of our patients at St Vincent's slightly less stressful. We three men take a lot of pride in our Head and Necks and it is widely agreed that we own some of the best beards in the Radiation Oncology world. We have agreed to shave off our prized beards if we can raise over $1000 to put towards Head and Neck Cancer patient initiatives. Please reach deep and support us in this great cause. The big shave where we reveal our baby faces is on Friday November 3rd at the Beauchamp Hotel in Darlinghurst. The evening will include Bingo, great fun  and many  prizes throughout the night.
