Lifting Lisa Up

Lifting Lisa Up Lisa was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 19.  Despite the challenges & obstacles she has faced due to this debilitating, incurable condition, she has raised 3 children while working and taking care of other family members.  She has never allowed her disease to stand in her way and is an inspiration to her family and friends. A revolving door of double-digit hospital stays in 2020 for severe potassium deficiencies, diabetes complications, life-threatening dehydration and more have left her facing an impossible challenge without our help. The only option that her specialists can offer her is a 7th major surgery or to try a new biologic drug that must be injected each day.  Without one or the other, she faces heart failure or kidney dialysis after fighting this disease for nearly 40 years. Lisa is facing a frightening and unknown future.  Without the small, additional income she was able to earn to supplement her small disability benefit, she cannot meet even her basic expenses.   She is just $140 over the threshold to receive State assistance with medical, housing and food.  The biologic that her specialists want to her to try has an out-of-pocket expense of $10,000 a month that she has no way of covering.  We have not even addressed the outstanding, overdue hospital bills that she has been unable to pay. Lisa’s faith in God is strong and unshakeable despite obstacles that would have crushed most people’s spirits.  We have created this Fund with the goal to ease her financial crisis and allow her to focus on her health.  Every dollar raised will go directly to Lisa to supply her medical needs, household expenses, etc.  Thank you for your prayers and support and know that any donation will be deeply appreciated and forever remembered.
