Peyton Rose - NICU Premmie

On Sunday night, 30th September, I went into the Emergency Room with “Rhythmic Back-pain”. It turns out that I had actually gone into “Spontaneous Labor” and it was progressing very quickly. An ambulance ride later, we arrived at Monash Children’s Hospital. Within 10-15 minutes I was prepped and on the table for an emergency C section to bring our beautiful daughter, Peyton Rose Shaw, earthside. However, Peyton’s abrupt arrival was pre-term. She arrived at 27weeks+1 (13 weeks/3 months early). It has been an exhausting and terrifying experience to say the least. Countless hours/days at the hospital, trying to fit in food and sleep where possible. Never stopping worrying and missing our girl. Stu and I are not normally the type to reach out for help, we have been working hard and long to provide for the arrival of our daughter, but this experience has shook us and put me out of work much earlier than anticipated. We have received so much love and support from friends, family and many more beautiful people. All asking “How can I help?” - which is hard because as her parents there’s only so much we can do.. the rest is up to her doctors & nurses. So I decided this is probably the best way to help us - we don’t expect much, even $10-15 helps us with travel costs, rent and all the bills that don’t stop. Whatever you donate/whether you donate, we are already so thankful to everyone keeping our girl in their thoughts and prayers. Your love and support is everything to us and all we need; this is just for friends who want a way to help us further.We are taking each day as it comes and thankful that our girl is staying strong, as we are trying to stay strong for her.
