Peterson Family House Fire

On January 21st, 2018 the Peterson family had awoken to what they found out to be the most tragic day of their lives. A family friend woke up to his dog biting his ear and shortly thereafter realized that the house was on fire. He quickly grabbed his young daughter and frantically searched for an exit. Ricky and Becky both grabbed Journey, wrapped her up in her blanket and got her safely out of the house through the window. Geri found her way from the back of the house through the thick smoke by feeling her way out of a window. Ricky ran back into the house to make sure that everyone had gotten out safely, and ended up getting burnt on his feet and legs, as well as the most smoke inhalation. The Peterson family was brought to the Kanabec County First Light Hospital to be treated for injuries. Although, everyone survived, and isn't in any critical condition that won't ever take away the fact that all of their personal belongings and memories are now gone. The Peterson family has nothing but the clothes that were on their backs. Medications are gone, car keys are burnt, financial information and cards, and memories of their loving father who had passed away in 2008. The Peterson family is asking to be in your thoughts and prayers, however, if you're able to donate to help them rebuild the home that they have cherished for 27 years. The remains of the home need to be demolished and disposed of properly, materials to rebuild need to be purchased, but most importantly they need to survive until then.
