Peter's Fight with Cancer

Dear family, friends, and friends of friends,
Peter and Iwona Staniszewski need your help...
Peter and Iwona have two children, Ewa and Mitchell. They have lived in Burlington, Ontario, for the last eleven years, and both children have attended St. Gabriels Catholic School. Mitchell has gone on to graduate, and is currently attending University of Toronto.
In October of 2016, Peter was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. He was only given 2 to 24 months to live. His doctors immediately started aggressive chemotherapy in an attempt to slow the cancer down. Thankfully he was able to enjoy Christmas surrounded by his family. Early in 2017, his condition began to worsen. The doctors increased his chemotherapy, but his cancer did not respond to it. He was recently admitted to hospital, and his prognosis did not look good.
On March 15, 2017, Peter was moved to The Carpenter Hospice here in Burlington, a place specializing in Palliative Care. He is in good spirits, but his health is deteriorating quickly.
Peter worked as a truck driver, and only earned a moderate wage. To help make ends meet, Iwona runs a home daycare for a number of local children in the community. Because Peter has not been able to work since getting sick, Iwona has been the sole supporter of the family, and unfortunately the bills are beginning to pile up.
Although the family is always supportive of their local community, they are also proud and do not like to ask for assistance themselves. We are asking for them. This family needs your support. Even if it is only $5, $10, or $20 it would be appreciated. Anything you can donate to help them get through this, and get back on their feet again...
