Hello friends and family,
My name is Phen Kayana Moua. I am a working mother supporting my two beautiful girls, and now my sick husband. Recently, we had discovered that we will be expecting another baby. As fortunate and excited as we both feel, unfortunately my husband, Peter, has been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer.
In April, he had complaints about his back aching. We seeked help and all the doctor said was it could just possibly be a passing kidney stone. He was of course, was given pain relievers and antibiotics. After a couple months, his pain got worst. We took him to the ER and he was admitted. After many tests and 11 days being hospitalized, we discovered that he has kidney cancer and it had already reached stage 4. Due to his serious illness he is unable to work and many times, unable to take care of himself. We immediately started chemotherapy. However, the doctor suggested we go to San Francisco to get immunotherapy because the chemotherapy is only buying him time. The chance of surviving is really slim. But with immunotherapy, he will have a greater chance of survival.
We are asking for donations to assist us with medical expenses, consultations, travel expenses, a safe and warm bed while we travel back and forth to San Francisco for his treatments.
