On November 8th, the world lost an incredible husband, father, son, and brother. Peter Votto was my brother in law. He was an extraordinary man with a heart of gold, a glowing smile and a radiating presence wherever he was- just ask anyone.
Unfortunately, Peter passed away unexpectedly and leaves all of those that loved him heart broken.
Most importantly, Peter leaves behind not only his wife, my sister Lisa but his two precious babies. Gianna is only two and baby Peter is one. They have their whole lives ahead of them with so many milestones before them, none of which will be with their dad.
Family was Peter’s pride and joy. Every free moment was spent playing, loving and adventuring with his three favorite people. Just four days before Peter passed, he spent the day with the kids at a local farm checking out the animals. That was their last one-on-one date that they will ever have with their dad, the last video the kids will ever have with daddy, and the last memory they will share.
It’s been 2 weeks since Pete’s passing and Gianna repeatedly asks when daddy will be home, to call daddy, and even picked out daddy’s favorite drink when passing a cooler filled with Snapple. It is moments like these that are absolutely heart wrenching.
This has left my sister in a truly unfortunately predicament both financially and emotionally. In honor of Peter, in honor of my sister, Gianna and baby PJ, I ask that you please take a moment to consider donating to them during this season of giving.
