Peter Unutoa’s Celebration of Life

Hi my name is Sheena and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my aunt, Tutogi Florence Unutoa. Her son of 43 years has recently passed and she will need help financially to get his affairs in order. Peter was physically handicapped and she spent his entire life dedicated to caring for him. The funds will go to his funeral and burial expenses.

Today our uncle, cousin, brother, son, and everbodys favorite, Peter Imua Unutoa went home to be with the Lord.

He went peacefully and was surrounded by his many nieces and nephews, cousins, siblings, aunts, uncle and Mom.

Peter was so strong, even until the end. He was born on January 1st, 1981 and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Doctors told my aunt that he would probably not make it to see his 10th birthday but he continued to defy the odds. He celebrated his 43 birthday this year!

Although we are sad that Peter will not be with us physically we are thankful that we will see him in Heaven. To people outside of our family, they probably took one look at Peter and saw his physical limitations but he was a formidable force. He couldn’t speak, but we always knew what he wanted. He couldn’t walk, but he kept everyone in line, especially if he had his blue plastic bat.

He knew how make you feel like you were the most important person in the room. He was our biggest cheerleader and strongest protector. The best older brother I could have ever asked for.

Thank you Peter Bear for all the love and support over the years. It is an honor to have known and loved you. I thank Jesus for the hope that I have in seeing you again. I love you bub. ❤️✨✝️
