Peter Rajotte is Facing Off Against Cancer (#3#)

Donation protected
Many of you may already know that Peter has been courageously battling an advanced stage of Multiple Myeloma. After playing ice hockey throughout last winter, Peter began to experience debilitating pain in his lower back. After months of physical therapy and seeking answers for his excruciating pain, Peter was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in June 2020. This cancer not only negatively affects his bone marrow and his ability to fight infection, but it also weakens the bones to the point of fracture/breaking. This is what caused the pain from which Peter was suffering. At diagnosis, Peter already had several fractures in his lower back, and he now has fractures in his neck, spine, ribs, and sternum/chest bone.

As a result, Peter has suffered immeasurable pain, which, thanks to his incredible Oncologist Dr. Raval, is mostly under control. However, Multiple Myeloma is very aggressive and is not a curable cancer.  It is a cancer that Peter will battle for the rest of his life. And, due to his many medications for pain and his chemotherapy regimen, he is unable to work or drive.

As you can imagine, the bills from several emergent ambulance rides to the hospital, his extensive tests, procedures, and medications have left an ever-mounting pile of medical bills. In addition, his goal is to get strong enough to receive a Stem Cell (Bone Marrow)Transplant in Boston, which will result in additional costs for travel and lodging for his family.

Peter is very much like his Dad. He is the type of man who will do anything for anyone in need. Our goal is to collect funds for him during his time of need, and to alleviate some of the financial burdens for him and his family. We know that times continue to be challenging for everyone, but we're hoping to assist Peter in any way we can. If you can contribute any amount, no matter how small, it will help alleviate a great stressor for him and his family. If you are unable to contribute financially, please continue to keep Peter in your thoughts. He prays each night to his Mom and to God, and he welcomes your prayers for healing.

Like his beloved Boston Bruins, Peter is an absolute warrior who will continue to battle with everything he's got...and he'll be taking this game into triple overtime!!!
