My name is Peter MorningWood and I’m a co-founder of Saskatoon's Freight Train of Glamour, The Menagerie Burlesque Company.

Founded in 2015, The Menagerie is a non-profit theatrical burlesque company that brings body positive, gender inclusive performances that delight, amaze, shock and entertain the pants off of our performers and our audiences! Collectively, over 30 years of stage and screen experience, this collection of sexy beasts have worked extremely hard to get to this point!

I'm asking you to help me 'Get out of Town!' and get Menagerie Burlesque's first member to theItty Bitty Festival in Quesnel, BC

I have been known to use many cross disciplinary skills to enhance my entertainment, from sound technician to voice over to hosting, and producing,  story telling and spoken word poetry and even coaching other new performers! Sometimes all for the same show! I've been blending all these weird and wonderful skills to channel my art into burlesque that has been described as humorous, captivating and positive masculine sexuality that breaks stereotypes. This is my first year of submitting to festivals, and first acceptance to perform!

This year, I am focusing on my performances, and getting ART Done! The Menagerie's Season opener on March 22 and 23rd - Return of the Stripping Dead - will feature a new piece, that will delight with the Spooky unexpected! Stay tuned for photos! And possibly some behind the scene looks!

On top of a full time muggle job, training and using my voice for voice overs, occasionally writing the odd script/novel, and working on my acting skills - I am asking for your support to help with travel expenses for this amazing event. This past winter has seen unexpected furnace (at -40 Celsius) and car repairs, which has left more than a large dent into my budget. This means that I have no resources to pay for the airfare or accommodations, while in Quesnel, BC. I am still actively researching billeting for artists, but any and all donations will help me get to this event.

Currently I am also looking into a small film screening, or tiny improv burlesque show to help with expenses. However, film rights, and venue costs will decrease the amount I'll be able raise - even though it is still so much fun to do!

But What If I don't want to Just donate??

I can also send small voiceover clips used for ring tones with every $20 dollar donation!

With more donations, the more ridiculous things I can bring you before and after the festival! Drunken juggling? Maybe!

Personalized motivational pep talk intermixed with lullaby's? Confusing!

Overly dramatic reading of pop lyrics or Hot Dog recipe by plastic rotating log fireplace? Definitely!

TRAVEL COSTS NEEDED
Airfare - Return flight - Saskatoon to Prince George - $400 to $500 - the later the flight, the more expensive!

Cheap accommodation for 5 nights to take advantage of cheaper flights: average $80 to $100 per night

Food - Because artists need to eat!

Travel Insurance: $50 - because costumes are expensive

Public Liability insurance: $30

TOTAL with flex if getting the right sales: $800 to $1000ish
