Thanks you for stopping by, I have started this GoFundMe to help a mate in trouble. Support Act have given amazing assistance with Peters big issues, however can't provide cash for day to day expenses overseas.
Peter needs help, his story and his reluctant words:
"After being in and out of hospital for most of 2016 with bilateral hip replacements and complications associated with that I went back to work.
4 months later I tripped over at work severely fracturing my left humerus and right femur.
I was taken to a Abu Dhabi hospital where I under went 7 hrs of surgery and 5 days in induced coma.
I spent 30 days in ICU and now have a 20cm plate in my leg.
I remember very little of my stay in that hospital.
After being released I went back to Bangkok to be cared for by my partner Kesinee and was wheelchair bound for most of 2017.
6 months into my rehab I was retrenched while I was away.
My employer called me back to Abu Dhabi to clean out my apartment.
In a wheelchair.
That was the end of my income and company health insurance.
My end of service benefits didn’t amount to much, workers comp was only the previous 6 months salary as per the law there.
All the money I had saved we lived on the year before as I took leave without pay for nine months.m to fix my hips.
I started walking with a cane late last year and have been exercising daily ever since.
Recovery has been very slow as I have a few existing health issues and there is strong pain at times.
It has been a real struggle physically and now financially.
We ran out of money in March, Kesinee has tried everything to get us some income.
I have missed Drs appointments as we can’t afford them.
Some good friends of ours here have helped us out.
The hardest thing has been asking ARCA for help.
I never imagined I would ever be in this situation.
Support Act helped us out recently as best they could with the big stuff. They have been a huge help.
We are extremely grateful for that.
I am hopeful I will be able to get back to full strength and walk
unaided by the end of the year and find some work."
