Who are we? What is this?
Since some of you will know us directly and some won’t, let us briefly tell our story. We are Peter and Bethany, and even before we were married nine years ago, we knew that we would be parents together. As most people do, we’ve had our own thoughts of what that would look like, and after many years of trying to have children, including expensive fertility treatments, we’ve come to realize that there are clearly other plans for us. We believe that our child is coming, but in a different way than we had initially envisioned.
We've come to learn that the adoption journey is not for the faint of heart, but life is not about an easy path, it’s about the right path. We have several family members who have adopted, and have seen the joy that family coming together in any form can bring!
We are working with an agency and have learned that our total adoption costs will range between $25,000 and $50,000, depending on whether the child for us is in Ohio or in another state. While there are obviously no guarantees, we have felt like this is the right direction to go.
Here’s where you come in:
We have discovered that the road to adoption is much like a puzzle; so many pieces that have to fit _just so_ for it to work out.
Here's the plan! We've selected a 500-piece puzzle and with any donation amount, your name will be added to the back of a puzzle piece, carefully building a beautiful picture that tells the story of community and family that goes far beyond our four walls.
This puzzle will be framed and displayed in the nursery because we want our child to know how loved he or she is, and that so many people were involved in bringing them home to us!
Additionally, please pray for us! While we have our plans, we ultimately want what God wants for us.
We believe so strongly in community, and whether through prayer, donation or both, we would love for you to be a part of this journey with us!
