Peter & Kyle run to support CCC & The NHS

Please support 1st team cricketers Peter (Mr) Dibb and Kyle O'Connor, who have kindly stepped forwards for a "marathon effort" to raise money for Clitheroe Cricket Club and the East Lancashire NHS Trust by running laps of the cricket field.

Pendle School teacher and 1st XI captain Peter said "I think its vital that we continue to support the NHS and all those that have been doing such a great job out there. It also looks increasingly unlikely we'll play any cricket this season, nor may we be able to host fundraiser events; both of which are the lifeblood of our community club".

1st team wicketkeeper Kyle is also excited to be taking part "CCC have made me feel really welcome during my time here and its great to get involved with this initiative. It's great to be running with my friend Peter, and be raising money for a great cause".

Each £20 raised will fund 1 lap (approx 2/9 of a mile),  with us hoping they will run a marathon each!
....Kyle is an experienced runner, but hasn't run for nearly a year(!), Peter, despite laying claim to being "Clitheroe's fittest man", has very little previous long distance running experience.

We hope to raise £4000 pounds in total to be spilt equally between both causes. The event is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 5th June, and based on current guidelines, will constitute their daily exercise for the day. No spectators will be allowed, although our aim is to hook up a camera and stream via Facebook live.
