Hi, my name is Sam from St Patrick's Port Kembla Parish, and I'm fundraising for Long-Term Mission School with the Immaculata Sisters in Armidale NSW. I'm a 21-year-old convert who has become deeply involved in the life of the Church and increasingly passionate about facilitating formation and service opportunities for laypeople, especially young adults. I’m grateful for every day I’m able to share the eternal values of our Gospel and the Good News, which I have so deeply experienced in my conversion to Catholicism, has made me value the active involvement of laypeople in evangelisation.
And with the opportunity to live out this call more deeply by attending the Long-Term Mission School, I'll be trained and formed by various clergy, religious and experts on how to develop and refine my leadership skills and the discovery of unique gifts and talents. The time of prayer, including daily Mass, Adoration, and the Rosary, will deepen my spiritual life, enabling me to give more of myself to the community around me. And the mission and outreach to the schools and parishes across NSW will develop my evangelization skills to better able me to connect with newcomers in my various ministries. Through authentic Christian fellowship and a shared pursuit of holiness, individuals grow not only in knowledge but also in the spiritual life. Ultimately, this journey leads to a profound understanding of one’s identity as a beloved son or daughter of God.
The cost is $5100 and includes all accommodation, meals, formation classes, the January Mission School and other retreats/mission trips. All funds received will go directly to this cost. I'm incredibly grateful for any donation and appreciate all the prayers and support :)
God Bless, Sam
