Peruvian Well Drilling

A group from Victory Christian Fellowship will be traveling to Peru to dig wells for the people living in the virgin jungle. Water, a resource that we may take for granted, is not readily available to the people living in this remote area. Recent estimates of people drinking unsafe water range from 1.8 to 1.9 billion people. Dirty or unsafe water can cause many illnesses including diarrhea, guinea worm, and trachoma. Because of this, around 700,000 children die each year from illnesses related to unsafe water and poor sanitation. We are asking you today for your support, prayers, and consideration to donate to this cause. Each of the three wells costs around 1000 dollars, and the hope to construct three wells during their time there. There is an additional cost of getting the well parts up the river, deeper into the jungle where there are no roads. The group is hoping to raise 4000 dollars before they leave.
